Our thoughts
This is a lens I get excited about for anyone shooting interiors, architecture or real estate — 10mm is dramatically wide, and because it’s rectilinear rather than fisheye, walls and doorways stay straight. It’s also a surprisingly good video and astro tool: the image stabilisation is excellent, it’s light enough to balance on a gimbal, and the STM focusing is quiet. Two things I always flag to renters. First, it’s f/4, not f/2.8 — if your priority is low light or astro you might prefer the brighter RF 15-35mm f/2.8. Second, there’s no front filter thread because of the bulbous front element, so ND and polariser filters go in the rear gel holder, which takes a bit of planning. Within those limits, nothing else gives you this view in such a compact package.

Just be aware that anything near the edges of the frame (including people) will stretch, which is normal for ultra-wide lenses.
Not on the front — the bulbous front element means there’s no front filter thread. Instead the lens has a holder at the rear for cut gel filters. If you need ND or a polariser for video or long exposures, plan for the rear-filter workflow; just ask and we’ll talk it through.
Yes — it mounts and works fine, but the APS-C crop means the effective field of view is roughly 16–32mm equivalent, so you lose the extreme wide end. To get the full ultra-wide effect, use it on a full-frame RF body.
