Why do I need my own insurance?
Because of the kit’s value, we need proof of your own coverage for the full replacement value, with Canada Camera Rentals named as Additional Insured. Once you book, we’ll send you the details and confirm the policy with your insurer before the kit ships.
The kit says unavailable — can I still get this gear?
Probably. A kit only shows as available when every item in it is free, so one booked piece is enough to block it. Check the V-Raptor Starter Pack and the other listings above separately, book the pieces that are free, and get in touch if you need a substitute for the one that isn’t.
What lenses can I use?
The V-Raptor has a Canon RF mount with full lens communication, so RF lenses work natively and EF lenses work through an EF–RF adapter. Many productions pair it with cine primes or zooms; tell us what glass you’re planning and we’ll make sure the mount setup works.
How long will six batteries last?
That depends on frame rate, monitor and accessories, but six 98Wh Micro V-mount batteries with a dual charger are designed to keep a crew rolling through a typical shoot day by rotating and recharging between setups. If you’re powering a lot of accessories or shooting at high frame rates all day, ask us about adding more.
What media does it record to, and how much fits on 1TB?
It records to CFexpress Type B, and a 1TB RED PRO card is included. How long that lasts depends on resolution, frame rate and REDCODE quality — MQ and LQ extend record time considerably over HQ. For long days or high frame rates, add a second card so one can offload while the other records.
How quickly can I get it set up?
The Bright Tangerine plates and top handle give you a ready-made build, so you’re mostly adding a lens, battery and card. The Wooden Camera bridgeplate slides onto 19mm studio rods for quick changes between tripod, dolly and shoulder rigs.
