They’re the same integrated system — camera, 4-axis gimbal, LiDAR focus, built-in ND and monitor. The difference is resolution: the 6K records up to 6K60 (and 4K120), while the 8K reaches up to 8K. 6K is more than enough for most commercials, documentary and online delivery; choose the 8K when you need maximum resolution or heavy reframing for large-format delivery.
Yes — this version includes the full RAW License, which unlocks internal ProRes RAW recording up to 6K60. There’s nothing extra to activate on your end.
RAW and ProRes record to DJI PROSSD media, and CFexpress Type B cards can be used for recording up to 4K. For longer or high-bitrate shoots, we can add a PROSSD to your order.
The Zenmuse X9 uses DJI’s carbon-fibre DL lenses, and interchangeable mounts let you use Sony E and Leica M lenses, with PL/EF adapters also available. Tell us your preferred glass and we’ll set up the right mount.
The 4-axis system adds vertical (Z-axis) stabilisation on top of the 3-axis gimbal, cancelling the up-and-down bounce of walking for dolly-like smoothness handheld. The LiDAR rangefinder uses tens of thousands of ranging points for fast, accurate autofocus — even in low light and with manual lenses — making solo focus-pulling far more reliable.
