Open Gate 7K recording requires a CFexpress Type B card — UHS-II SD cards won’t unlock it (though they’re fine for 4K and stills). Add a CFexpress card to your order if you plan to shoot 7K.
The Mark III adds a higher-resolution 32.5MP sensor (up from 24.2MP), Open Gate 7K RAW, 4K up to 120p, and stronger 8.5-stop stabilisation. The R6 Mark II remains an excellent, more affordable all-rounder if you don’t need 7K or the extra resolution.
Yes — with an EF–EOS R mount adapter, which we rent separately. EF and EF-S lenses then work natively, including autofocus and stabilisation. RF lenses mount directly with no adapter.
