The kit says unavailable — can I still get this gear?
Probably. A kit only shows as available when every item in it is free, so one booked accessory is enough to block it. Check the Ronin 4D X9-8K and the accessory listings above separately, book the pieces that are free, and get in touch if you need a substitute for the one that isn’t.
Does it include lenses?
No — lenses are booked separately, so you can choose exactly what the job needs. The camera comes with the DL mount fitted, and the kit adds Sony E and Leica M mounts. Tell us what you’re shooting and we’ll help you pick a lens set.
What does the Flex do?
It lets you take the X9 camera and gimbal off the main body and connect them with a 2m cable. The part you hold drops to about 1.8kg, which makes low angles, tight interiors and long takes much easier. You can also mount the camera head on a car rig, jib or tripod while the body, battery and media stay with the operator.
How does the wireless monitoring work?
The Ronin 4D Video Transmitter mounts on the camera and sends a live 1080p feed to the 7″ high-bright monitor, up to 6km away in clear line of sight. The monitor is bright enough to use outdoors, has LUTs and exposure tools, and can record a proxy to an SD card. The combo also includes its own transmitter with HDMI and SDI inputs, handy for a second camera.
How much can I record on four PROSSDs?
Four 1TB drives give you 4TB of media. 8K ProRes RAW fills a drive quickly, so most productions rotate drives and offload between setups. Tell us your formats and shooting hours and we’ll check it covers your day, or add more PROSSDs.
